VFW Post 4833

John O. Connor VFW Post 4833 was founded on January 15, 1967. Since its founding, the Post has been a leader in providing support for its members and the Santa Rosa County Veteran Community at large. Their service officers, coupled with the DAV, are among the best at providing assistance, guidance, and support in processing claims through the VA. Their VA hospital programs have provided both monetary support and serve as an entertainment venue for patients in both the long-term and short-term care facilities. VFW Post 4833 has a wide array of outreach programs for vets, families of vets, and the community at large.

Post 4833 is also involved in community outreach and youth programs such as Blood Drives, Buddy Poppy, Voice of Democracy Essay Competition, Patriots Pen, Fireman/Policeman/EMT recognition program, National Teacher Award Program, Scouting Programs and sponsorship of youth athletic programs...the list goes on and on.

In 2019, ECVA donated $3,000 to VFW Post 4833.
